Photography: I have been enjoying photography for approx 10 years since I was 13. At High School when I was 16 I was in a photography class, processing my own black and white film and photos, and this is where I really wanted to start my career in photography.
In 2006 I completed a NZIBS course on freelance photography, and received my diploma.
I began my photography using a Digital Kodak SLR style camera as my first serious camera, but wanted something more advanced, so, eventually I bought a Canon 30D camera, and have taken over 100,000+ photos since. Now I have 2 camera bodies, and a variety of lenses
Horses: I have been riding now for 15 years. I started riding when I was 8 at Heathcote Valley Riding School, where I learned there for several years. I then went to Waitikiri Horse Treks and also Blue Springs (now Ravensteed).
I have enjoyed competing and showing for a few years. I have taught lessons for beginners to intermediate riders, and also guided treks through the Burwood Plantation.
I currently own a big 14 year old chestnut 16.2hh Thoroughbred Gelding who is currently out of work, but I am getting him into work slowly now and hope do lots of riding over the summer inbetween taking photos at shows. I will get some photos of me riding him up here soon.
